Trainees
MFE is now part of the Shell-QGC Western Downs Indigenous Traineeship program facilitated through Harness Energy. Four trainees will do 8 rotations at MFE in 2020.
Apprenticeships
MFE's apprentices continue to lead the way. Ranging from school based through to adult and dual trade. There are currently 5 completing their trades at MFE.
Confined Space Rescue
In 2020, 6 MFE employees became confined space rescue trainer, undertaking their training and practical assessment at our own workshop.
CCCI Golf Day 2019
A great busines networking event put on by the Chinchilla Commerce group, MFE was sponsor of hole 1 and had a team participate in the event.
Breast Cancer Awareness
Greg and Mick cooked up the BBQ at one of our client sites raising money for breast cancer research.
One Long Table Sponsor
One of Chinchilla's best events, the annual One Long Table held in September 2019 brought together the community. MFE sponsored the Dancing Lions, making their first appearance at the event.
Cameby Downs Family Day
Yancoal opened up their site for families of employees to see the operation and meet some of the major subcontractors.
New Expansion
We are currently building a new workshop to increase our undercover capacity by another 500sq mtr in Chinchilla. We look forward to opening this facility in June 2021.
$10,000 for breast cancer
MFE coordinated the raising of $10,000 for breast cancer research in 2020. When we reached this target, we resigned one our vehicles to keep the message alive!
LEAN In Our Workshop
Over the last 12 months, MFE has been undergoing monthly LEAN strategy and 5s development to increase throughput, reduce waste and improve efficiency. The program has already returned value on its cost.

Daffodil Day
Another chance to come together at a work BBQ to raise funds and awareness for daffodil day. The team dug deep to raise over $300.
Kicking Goals
We proudly provided the equipment and resources to construct the goal posts at the local primary school.
Medium Employer Of The Year
MFE won the QLD Training Awards "Medium Employer of the Year" 2016 for the entire state. Well done team!
Mothers Day Classic
MFE contributed $5 for each participant at the 2019 Mothers Day Classic walk in Chinchilla.
Chinchilla State School Trail Bike ride
Proudly contributed towards the 2019 trail bike ride and looking forward to being a part of many more in the future.
