Founded in 2011, MFE began with just two employees and a big ambition — to deliver quality service while building meaningful careers and strong regional connections. Today, we’ve grown to a team of over 50 skilled professionals, proudly servicing clients across the resources, energy and local business sectors.

Our commitment to training and development has been part of our DNA from the start. In 2016, MFE was honoured as Medium Employer of the Year at the Queensland Training Awards, recognising our personalised training programs and dedication to employee growth.

From day one, we’ve believed in the power of community. More than 85% of our workforce is recruited locally, and we reinvest millions of dollars each year into the regional economies where we live and work. Supporting local means supporting our people — through jobs, education and opportunity.

As a regional business, community is at the heart of everything we do. Our staff live locally, and we’re actively involved in schools, sporting clubs and community organisations through sponsorships, work experience and education programs. Each year, MFE hosts high school students for our ‘Taste a Trade’ program, offering workshop tours, mock interviews and hands-on insight into future career paths.

In 2020, we were proud to join the Western Downs Indigenous Trainee Program, welcoming Indigenous trainees for an eight-week rotation at MFE. The experience enriched our team and reinforced our ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion.
